UK Chess Challenge 2021

Online + ‘Over the Board’ Terafinal !

Throughout the summer there will be a festival of chess with our main championship qualifiers the Megafinals and Gigafinals taking place online alongside the Blitz Championship and Variants Championship.

The Terafinal is due to take part “over the board” and we are hoping to announce the venue and date shortly!

To register and take part there are three options to suit a range of budgets and chess enthusiasm. A full feature breakdown can be found below.

The online competitions are taking place on lichess.org – the best place to play chess online and completely free registration. All participants will have access to full training on how to use the platform and all the safety features (though most will be able to just “pick up and play” as it is very easy to use).

We will have regular special events and commentary hosted on our Twitch Channel. Registering an account is free.

All participants get:

• Access to at least 1 x Megafinal (and 1 x Gigafinal if qualified)
• Access to friendly tournaments including warmup events
• Welcome session – introduction to online chess
• Access to the live stream – daily tournament commentary, lessons and more
